About Faculty
The Faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development (Faculty of AERD) was officially established in January 1999 at the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) under the technical and financial support of the PARFAAC II program and l’Agence du Casses pour le Développement (ACD) of the French government with strong initiations of Prof. Marc DUFUMIER, Asso. Prof. Kathy BORA, Dr. Sangkoma YANG, Dr. Sam El MEACH, Mr. Chamroeurn HENG, and many other RUA lecturers.
The Faculty has successfully trained more than 3,000 human resources to become leaders in public and private organizations, NGOs, scientific researchers, and entrepreneurs/traders in many institutions.
The faculty and staff of the faculty have a high level of education and experience, have completed master's and doctoral degrees from within and outside the country, and have many years of experience in teaching, teaching, business, and scientific research.
Vision
The faculty of AERD envisions producing future leaders in the fields of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Ecosystem Services, Agroecology, and Community and Rural Development to engage in development-oriented research and public services that would promote innovation and sustainability.
Missions and Objectives
It has its missions and objectives to:
educate undergraduates and graduates and the community in the related fields;
provide research and publication;
provide training and extension on incubation and entrepreneurship; and lastly
provide consultation on agricultural economics and the environment.
